Taekwondo Kicho forms are a set of prearranged patterns which were developed to teach basic technique and self-defense. They help practitioners gain knowledge of the different stances, blocks, strikes and kicks used in the martial art. The kucho set is comprised of three distinct forms; Kicho 1, 2 and 3. Kicho 1 is a basic form, focusing on the fundamental movements and stances of Taekwondo. The second form builds upon these fundamentals by introducing more advanced kicks and techniques.

The third and final form consists of a combination of both the first two forms, allowing practitioners to develop their skills in a way which is more free-flowing and creative. This is a great way to help perfect the skills learnt from practicing the other forms. Practicing Kicho forms allows practitioners to increase their confidence and proficiency in all areas of Taekwondo. Through mastering these techniques, practitioners can find themselves more confident and prepared when entering into a competitive match or self-defense situation.

The three kicho forms are essential for anyone looking to understand and master the martial art of Taekwondo.
