Unfortunately some of these “kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes Pompano Beach” are really bad! This is just a little information about the art.

History

kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes Pompano Beach began with a Japanese man named Mitsuyo Maeda, otherwise known as Count Coma, He was an expert in Japanese Judoka and a member of the recently formed Kodokan. This man Maeda was one of the 5 Judos ground fighting experts that Jigoro Kano , the founder of Judo, sent to spread his art to the rest of the world. Maeda visited many countries doing demonstrations and fighting some of the different countries best fighters. He went against boxers and wrestlers proving how effective his art was. He arrived in Brazil sometime in 1914.

Jiu Jitsu Pompano

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes are known as more than just a fighting art. From its birth in the early 1880s, its parent art Judo was separated from other styles of japanese jujutsu because of a difference that was also passed to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This difference was the fact that this art is not just a Martial Art. This art was also a sport, away of getting in shape, and to some a way of life.

You will often hear people say that kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes Pompano Beach came from Japanese Jujutsu. Some say that Maeda was a jujutsuka, however this could not be farther from the truth. Mitsuyo Maeda, or Count Coma, never trained in Jujutsu. He took Sumo when he was a young teenager. After hearing about all the success that Judo was having in contests between Judo and Jujitsu, he left Sumo to start learning Judo. He became one of Jigoro Kanos Kodokan Judo and was given his 7th degree in this art just before dying in the early 1940s. Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teachers should know this history.

More History

Around 1914 Mitsuyo Maeda had the opportunity to go to Brazil. While there he befriended a man named Gastao Gracie. Gastao helped Maeda get established in this new country. To express his gratitude, Maeda taught Gastao this Japanese art of Kano Jiu Jitsu or Kodokan Judo. Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes have a lot to be thankful from this friendship. Gastao then taught his eldest son Carlos Gracie, who would eventually teach the rest of the brothers. His youngest son Helio Gracie was too sickly to train with the rest of his brothers, so for years he had to learn this art by watching his brothers train.

Carlos Gracie

One day a student of Carlos came to train and Carlos was not around. Helio took it upon himself to start the class. When Carlos returned, he apologized to his student for his absence. The student was so impressed with Helio that he wanted the younger brother to continue to be his teacher. Helio went on to become the founder of system of Judo called Gracie Jiu Jitsu, which has taught Blackzilians teachers how to teach kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes Pompano Beach Florida (it was said that Carson Gracie gives that credit to Carlos Gracie).
